The KL Bar E-Moot Court Competition 2020 was organised by the KLBC Young Lawyers Committee and was held on the 28th till 29th November 2020, virtually via Zoom. The BAC Mooting Society selected one team to participate in this competition. The team emerged as the semi-finalists and were the winners of the Daniel & Wong Award, for Best Team Written Submissions.
The purpose of this event was to allow law students to practise their mooting skills, to learn a new area of the law, and to build networks. The organisers of this event invited 27 judges to provide feedback, and select the winners. There were 45 lawyers present that day, and 21 teams, each team comprising of 2-3 participants.
The KLBC Young Lawyers Committee collaborated with George Varughese Advocates & Solicitors, Aaron Mathews Advocates & Solicitors, and Daniel & Wong Advocates & Solicitors, to make sure that the event got the recognition it deserved, to boost resources, and to ensure that everything ran smoothly.
Overall, the KL Bar E-Moot Court Competition 2020 was a great experience for our BAC mooting society. The team that participated had a lot of fun, managed to build some new networks, and developed their mooting skills.
